School Horse Lesson Program

​

Our school horse program caters to riders who do not have their own horses and are looking to develop their basics on a safe lesson horse. To secure your dedicated coach, assigned horse, and weekly spot on our schedule, all registrations are handled via an upfront monthly subscription package.

Program Tuition & Inclusions

​

• Monthly Program Subscription: $285.00/month + GST  for a group lesson space or $375/month + GST for a private lesson space.

• What’s Included: One (1) scheduled group/private lesson per week on a school horse.

• Class Cap: Strictly limited to a maximum of four (4) riders per class to ensure high-quality individual attention.

• Billing Cycle: Flat-rate, automatic billing processed on the 1st of each calendar month.

Time Commitments & Horsemanship

​

Equestrian education extends beyond the saddle. To build well-rounded horsemanship skills, students must manage their time blocks strictly:

• Pre-Lesson Arrival: Students must arrive exactly 30 minutes prior to their scheduled ride time to independently groom, check legs, and tack up.

• Post-Lesson Departure: Students must allocate 30 minutes after their ride time for untacking, horse cooling, grooming, and equipment cleaning.

Program Attendance & Withdrawal Policies

• ​Lesson Subscription Structure: To ensure consistency and progression for our riders, lesson enrolment operates as a monthly subscription package rather than individual drop-in classes. Much like school tuition, your flat-rate monthly fee secures a permanent, dedicated placement on our schedule, along with your coach and an assigned horse. For this reason, tuition packages are fixed and cannot be prorated, discounted, or adjusted for planned or unplanned absences (including family vacations, minor illnesses, or school conflicts).

• Absences: If you are unable to attend your scheduled ride, please submit an absence notification through our online form as early as possible. While we are unable to guarantee makeup options due to our strict class size limits (maximum 4 riders per group) and carefully managed horse exercise schedules, receiving timely notifications allows us to properly plan our horses' workloads and care for their physical well-being.

• Program Withdrawal: We understand that schedules change. To cancel your monthly subscription and surrender your weekly program spot, a minimum of 30 days’ written notice must be submitted via email to lochendstables@gmail.com. Monthly tuition remains due and payable through the end of the 30-day notice window, ensuring a smooth transition for both our roster and our horses.

Incoming Student Intake

​

• We currently operate on a waitlist for our permanent 4-person group classes. While we do not offer casual trial lessons, we want to ensure our program is a great match for your goals; therefore, new riders are welcome to join us for a single, initial group class before committing to the remainder of the month. This first lesson serves as an evaluation session to ensure group placement is safe and suitable.
